Collectively, the three companies operate approximately 65 Lakers which include tankers, self-loading and conventional bulk carriers. The companies signed initial agreements with Radio Holland in 2007. The new agreements include increased bandwidth to meet the growing needs for the companies' business operations and crew welfare. ACC, ASC and CSL have signed multi-year agreements with Radio Holland based on incorporating HTS (High Throughput Satellite) satellite coverage when available, and with fleet wide modem upgrades.
Todd Wirchnianskyi Manager, IT Vessel Operations CSL states: "Ten years ago, when CSL and other Great Lake carriers decided to dive into the VSAT world, there were over a dozen companies vying to promote their services. RH enabled us to effectively determine our specific needs, and clearly presented the airtime and technology options. Their tailor-made turnkey package was exactly what we needed and differentiated them from the competition. The knowledge, support and flexibility of the Radio Holland VSAT team has strengthened the bond between our two historic companies."
